The Role

The Growth Lead will be defining the overall digital growth strategy for our high-growth clients, identifying and implementing effective funnels that drive conversions and results.

You will be a self-starter with a deep understanding of customer experience, creative, communications, and data, as well as be a strong and passionate all-around digital marketer.. You’ll be equally comfortable managing others as you are with the hands-on execution of marketing campaigns.

Reporting into the agency founder, you’ll be the go-to contact for the internal team and trusted advisor for your clients, offering strategic and creative advice. You’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of all digital marketing and creative projects.

Key Responsibilities

As Account Strategy Director, your role will focus on four core areas:

  • Setting digital marketing strategy and processes to implement

  • Campaign execution, optimisation and performance

  • Internal team management and support

  • Client management and relationship building

You will be responsible for working across several client businesses at a time and supporting the internal creative and content teams in achieving results, typically involving:

  • Creating and executing overall digital strategy for multiple clients, including SEO/content marketing, marketing automation and creative strategy

  • Creating backlogs and prioritising activity for sprints for multiple clients

  • Providing competitive analysis and actionable insight of competitor marketing activity

  • Taking client briefs and writing campaign and creative briefs for the internal team

  • Reviewing creative and strategic work and proactively suggesting improvements

  • Being the final point of sign off, ensuring all agency output is on-brief and of a high quality 

  • Tracking, reporting and analysing digital campaign performance data, and translating learnings into strategies for clients

  • Actively building client relationships and running meetings with senior clients

  • Leading meetings, calls and follow ups

  • Finding and growing client opportunities

  • Managing and supporting the Creatives, Growth Managers and Executives in their development, and ensuring they are happy and motivated

  • Anything that falls under the scope of growth marketing that will help clients get results!

About you

  • Experience growing a startup / scaleup / corporate venture / high-growth business and understand the unique challenges of working with early stage companies

  • Possess deep, hands-on expertise of at least one growth marketing channel (e.g. paid acquisition, SEO, marketing automation)

  • High levels of autonomy, motivation and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritise, and articulate highest impact initiatives

  • Experience with highly quantitative and analytics driven environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication including the ability to create data-driven, audience-centric narratives

  • Experienced in strategic briefing, directing and getting the best output from creative teams

  • Ability to set direction and strategy from scratch, plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels

  • Experienced with digital marketing tools such as SEMRush, Majestic, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Zapier, Salesforce, Autopilot, Optinmonster and more

  • You are great at building successful relationships with clients and are a strong communicator with the ability to explain and deliver digital marketing insights in a client friendly way

  • You love developing your team

  • You are able to work on multiple accounts and meet deadlines

  • You love what you do and care deeply about the work

  • You have a bias for action and can get things done

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile working environment
